I just felt like taking photos last weekend. Aside from the fact that I missed my pets, I was so consumed by school works that I forgot I have my camera with me. Weekends at home are the only rare opportunities I have for myself to relax, take pictures and not to give a f**k about life. I feel calm and serene at home. Always. <3
I processed this using Photoshop because it was a bit blurry and washed up. I edited it a bit so that it'll have a little color for good vibes. :) (what am I saying? anyway) This is my favorite dog in the whole universe, Skipper! He's been with us for more than five years already and he never fails to amuse us. Isn't he adorable? :)) He's sweet and loyal. Playful and teasing most of the time. Just plain lazy and snob sometimes. When he doesn't feel like moving, no matter how loud you scold at him, he won't move even the slightest. He's such a hard-headed dog. The kind with attitude problem, you know. That description, by the way, came from my boyfriend. He's already familiar with Skipper's attitude at home. But Skipper's such a great pet. I love him as much as I love a sibling. He's my brother, okay? :))

These are raw photos I took during the weekend at home. Nice flower. :)

Ignatiana 2010

I took this shot early morning of July 31 while waiting for departure to Buhi, Camarines Sur for tree planting. Ateneo de Naga has a picturesque church. I find this shot dramatic and deep.
This was taken July 30. We joined the Fun Run from Ateneo going on a circling route then back to Ateneo. It would have been more fun if we were joined by our other classmates and friends. Nevertheless, it was such a nice experience of waking up early and being able to do jogging after a long time of being lazzzzzzzzy. ^__^
Power breakfast after! teeeheee! Uhhm, I know it wasn't food that's being shown at the picture above because as soon as the meal was served, we were so consumed that I only remember taking picture of my food as soon as it was gone--to my tummy. :D Just so you know how starved I was, I ordered a cocktail meal comprised of 5 cocktailed hotdogs, BIG serving of rice (yes, their serving was HUGE) and an extra siding of dried fish! And oh, coffee of course! What a perfect way of spending after-jogging moment with friends! :))
July 31: TREE PLANTING
Off to a boat ride to baranggay Sta. Cruz for the tree planting-slash-hiking activity.

One disappointing experience, though. See that boat? We bumped into that just as we are heading off the port to our destination. We'll I wasn't really that scared because I know it wouldn't be a bad crash, both boats were moving slow. But my co-passengers were screaming and all panicky. Who wouldn't? Good thing it wasn't a big deal. Grateful no one got hurt. We were able to get to our destination safe and sound.
And there we were! The view was great, overlooking the whole Buhi Lake. :)
The weather was gloomy and it was drizzling a little so there were muds all over the place. But we LOVE IT! :) It was so exciting. We still need to trek and hike towards the tree planting site and since my friends were wearing slippers, they had to leave it behind and walk barefooted. For a second there I envied them (I was wearing a rubber shoes).  The photo above were my friends, Yha and Fraga. This was taken as we head down to the quarters after the tree planting thing. She slided countless times. :))
Tree planting done! Now we're heading to Kapitana's house passing at the 300++ stairs. Believe me, I wanted to give up. It was oh so tiring! It shows at the picture, right? We both look haggard. haha
Going back to our service and heading home. We chose to seat at the front part of the boat so we could see the whole view. :)
And this is what I get, tired and filthy feet. But of course I got more than that. I got story to tell, experience to share and memory to keep. I wonder why I wasted the past three years in Ateneo passing up opportunities like this? Anyway. Overwhelming experience :)

As I was clearing off my bed with the sea of clutter (read: clothes I tried on for the day's outfit, bags-- 2 laptop bags, 2 school bags I often use interchangeably-- school papers and other countless stuffs) I saw my red Girbaud wallet which has been with me I guess for over 4 years already. It was a birthday gift from my brother when I was in my 3rd year in high school. It is a bit rotten off and well, out dated in style so I came to my senses that maybe its time to give it a rest. It has served me more than enough.

*Yeah, stuffs from Girbaud are really lasting. I have several bags from them and yes, they're still intact. Girbaud's one of my favorite brand when it comes to local bags and wallets. :)

Must-haves ASAP

Okay, so I have this rule not to indulge in overspending over some usual shopping cravings (i.e., tops, bags, etc.) when I am here in Naga. I choose to buy my things in Manila for some hideous reasons. One of which is that Naga is small with only few shops to choose from, so expect a high probability that you'll bumped in with someone who's already wearing the dress you just bought maybe just like a minute ago. You get the point? And I do not like that. I am kind of selfish you know. I want people to go wondering where I got all my stuffs. I want to, as much as possible, be the only person wearing that dress and make people bewildered in astonishment. I take pride on that simple aristocratic character of mine. So. I refuse to get tempted with what I see around me here in Naga. I strongly fight the urge of giving in. I wait in pure patience as to when I will be having a quite longer weekend so I can go to Manila for a visit to my brother and of course shop!

So I came up with a list of what to buy the next time I visit the metro:
  • Wallet (read my succeeding blog as to why a sudden need for a new one.)
  • Denim vest -- I have been yearning for one since the ancient time.
  • A new pair of jeans or two
  • external hard drive -- this I know still have to undergo negotiation with my mom. teehee.
  • The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Foundation
  • anything from Forever21 -- I really have to visit! I'm eyeing the owl vintage necklace.
  • Another cute and pink! laptop bag
  • hmmmm.
Okay. I think that will do for now. I'll definitely be back for more updates. :)
Meet our so adorable bear huggy Skipper!
